Job Title: Proprietary Trader
Department: Investment Management
Reports To: Head of Trading
Location: Remote
Compensation: Starting salary of $120,000 USD, plus a competitive incentive package
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Proprietary Trader to join our dynamic team. As a Proprietary Trader, you will be responsible for developing and executing trading strategies across a variety of asset classes, including equities, options, and fixed income. You will also be responsible for managing risk and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute proprietary trading strategies
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis
- Manage risk and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations
- Implement and maintain trading algorithms
- Backtest trading strategies using historical data
- Monitor market conditions and make timely trading decisions
- Prepare daily and monthly trading reports
- Work closely with other traders and portfolio managers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of experience as a proprietary trader or in a similar role
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing profitable trading strategies
- Strong understanding of financial markets and risk management principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
